Is there a manual on replacing gaskets? I also realize the ducting depends on the person.

I wonder if there's any insight you guys can give. We have this gasket that has adhesive on it and it seems you have to cut how much you need and adhere it to the fasteners.

What seems to be a con with this is that as the gaskets become damaged they are still stuck on there and it's not easy to remove. It seems I just need to scrape them off and replace with more.

Any tips would be helpful, esp. if anyone uses this kind of gasket-ing.
