Roastpath Keeps Crashing
For several months, We've been dealing with RP crashes where it locks up and doesn't respond at all. Its been happening weekly, and sometimes a couple of times a day. We've lost a few roasts over that time, but have been able to recover many of them.
This morning, RP just closed several times in the middle of my first roast of the day. We lost the roast and had to dump it. Is there anything that we can do to avoid this? Is there a setting or something we can do with our machine or computer? Its been frustrating.
We are running on a PC and have the most recent updates on both RP and Microsoft. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. Please know we are in the final stages of testing for a new, completely rebuilt version of the App that has massive imporvements to stability and reliability. We hope to have the new version released to the public in early 2025.
In the meantime, you can try the preview release 1.8.1524. This version has improvements to stability relative to the current Microsoft store release. Version 1.8.1524 does have an issue with switching between different roasters which kept it from going to the store but, it will likely still be an improvement in terms of the issue you are seeing.
You can find version 1.8.1524 available for download under "Show Other Releases" at the link below. If you are wondering which version you are running, you can always check by clicking "About" in the main navigation menu in the App.

So far so good. RP was acting really weird after a windows update. The new version had no crashes so far after about 17 batches. I'll keep you posted.
The application was working well for several roast sessions over the last couple of weeks with no crashes. Today, first roast of the day, same issues. Crashed during the first roast.
Any Idea when you guys are going to fix the crashing. I did the update link you recomended and its still locking up. this is getting old.

A preview of the new RoastPATH App for Windows was just released!!! You can find version 2.1.1108 available for download at the link below under "Show Other Releases".
Once you install the new version, be sure to check the version number on the "About" page to ensure you are running v2.1.1108.
If you have any trouble installing the new App, reach out to Mill City Roasters support for help.

So Far the Update seems to be stable! thank you guys for trying to stay on top of it. Will giver more feedback as time passes to see all the new items. until then, Happy Roasting! :)
